Regina has more than 40 years of clinical, administrative, teaching and consulting experience in ambulatory surgery. The breadth and depth of her ‘hands-on, real world” experience in both single-specialty and multi-specialty ASCs has equipped her with meaningful insights and practical approaches to the operational and organizational issues and challenges in the ASC environment. Her goal is to equip her clients with functional tools and strategies to increase efficiency, improve outcomes, and enhance the quality of life in the work environment. Consulting projects include planning and organization development, ASC design and development, state licensure, Medicare certification, quality and risk management programs, regulatory compliance reviews and plans, staff training and development, and accreditation. She has at one time held every nursing position in an ASC.

Regina is a Registered Nurse and is credentialed as a community college instructor. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from California State University at Long Beach and holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management and Development with honors from Chapman College in Orange, California. She has published numerous articles in Outpatient Surgery Magazine, Administrative Eyecare, and Ophthalmology Times. She is a frequent presenter on ambulatory surgery topics at national meetings such as OR Excellence, Hawaiian Eye, ASOA, OOSS, AAASC, ASC Association, ASIPP and AORN.

Debra has 42 years of health care experience including development, clinical, administrative, operations and sales.  The last 25 years have been focused exclusively in the ASC industry with a particular emphasis on multi-specialty centers. Previous positions held include ASC Administrator, Regional Vice President, and Director of Operations Preparations. Her responsibilities have included budget development/management, revenue/expense management, contract negotiation, licensing/certification/accreditation compliance, marketing, risk management, quality improvement and benchmarking.

Debra is a Registered Nurse. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Arizona, Tucson, and her MBA from California Coast University. She is a founder, past President member of the Arkansas Ambulatory Surgery Association and has served nationally as a past board member of FASA and past board member of ASC Association. She received her CASC credential in 2002. Debra has been a AAAHC surveyor and has served as Vice Chair and Chair of the Joint Commission Ambulatory Professional and Technical Advisory Committee. She currently serves as Treasurer of BASC, Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification which administers the CASC and CAIP.  Debra is a frequent speaker at corporate, state and national meetings.

Crissy has worked for the last 18 years in a variety of inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, including critical care, trauma and ambulatory surgery. Her clinical experience gives her an acute appreciation for the challenges involved in interpreting and applying regulations and standards in the clinical setting. Her consulting responsibilities include development of facility documentation to meet regulatory and accreditation standards, licensing/certification/accreditation compliance, infection control and quality management. She also assists in managing Progressive eSupport, including developing and planning content.

Crissy is a Registered Nurse. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Long Beach and her Master of Science in Nursing, with a Leadership concentration, from California State University, Fullerton. Her practicum hours, for her Master’s degree, were working with the Director of Evidence-Based Perioperative Practice at AORN. She is also a frequent presenter on ambulatory surgery topics at national meetings such as ASOA and Hawaiian Eye.

Vanessa joined the Progressive Surgical Solutions team in 2018. Previously, Ms. Sindell worked as the Director of Nursing for a busy surgery center. As director, she successfully completed three deemed-status surveys with no deficiencies. Ms. Sindell’s experience in running an ASC makes her an expert in clinical operations and management.

Overall, Ms. Sindell has 17 years of experience in nursing most of which has been spent in Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Using her expansive experience and knowledge, she has presented on ambulatory surgery topics at several national industry meetings.

Ms. Sindell received her Bachelor of Science in nursing, her master’s in nursing leadership and is CAIP certified.

Prior to joining Progressive Surgical Solutions in 2022, Apryl served as the Clinical Director/Administrator, Quality Assurance Coordinator, and Infection Preventionist for the Laurel Laser & Surgery Center in Duncansville, Pennsylvania. A Registered Nurse with 16 years of experience, she has dedicated her career exclusively to the ambulatory surgery center environment.

In her current role, Apryl provides ongoing support to ASCs. Her areas of expertise include regulatory compliance, licensing, certification and accreditation, survey preparation, facility documentation development, staff training, infection control and prevention, and ASC operations and management.

Mrs. McElheny holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and a Master of Business Administration degrees (MBA). Current certifications include the Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC) and Certified in Infection Control (CIC). She has been an active member of APIC since 2011 and previously served on the CBIC Board of Directors (2021-2022).

Nancy’s 17 years of healthcare experience straddle the ASC industry and medical aesthetics. Her ASC focus is the business operation where she has had responsibility for financial management and reporting. She provides PSS clients with financial feasibility analysis, business ops set-up, staff training, and over site of the key performance indicators to assess the health of the ASC operation. Nancy also assists PSS clients with strategies and methodologies to manage equity buy-ins and buy-outs, acquisition due diligence and strategic partnering. All her efforts are ultimately about helping our clients maximize their bottom line and when the time is right, leverage their asset.

Nancy’s other passion is cosmetic dermatology, aesthetic procedures and anti-aging services. Seizing an opportunity in an environment of declining reimbursement and an expanding boomer demographic, Nancy successfully converted a high revenue dermatology practice from 70% insurance to 70% cash. She spearheaded the design and implementation of in-house and online stores for retail product and services, which generated 10% of annual sales during non business hours. Nancy also has experience in anti-aging, rejuvenation clinics, which offer regenerative medicine using stem cell treatments, Botox and fillers, hormone therapy, nutritional counseling and esthetician services.

Prior to entering the healthcare field Nancy spent 5 years as an accounting software implementation consultant and 2 years as a controller in the travel industry working for a national franchisor.   Nancy can implement, train and teach all levels of staff in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, HST, and Source Vision. Nancy holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts and is a member of ASOA and CASA.

Liz began practicing as a registered nurse in 2015. She brings 8 years of diverse clinical experience to the team, having worked in a variety of clinical settings including emergency, cardiac cath lab, and ambulatory surgery.

Ms. Watley’s fusion of ambulatory and critical care experience includes roles in education, leadership, infection control, life-safety, as well as hands-on experience as a circulator and scrub. Liz’s diverse experience gives her a unique perspective regarding the challenges healthcare professionals face in applying standards in a practice.

Ms. Watley holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a concentration in Ambulatory Care from Western University of Health Sciences.

Mr. Crowder is involved in all phases of architectural consulting, plan development and compliance matters for healthcare projects throughout the United States. His extensive background in construction and facility management of healthcare facilities for over twenty-(20) years provides a solid understanding of design methods, code requirements and various regulations required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for facilities seeking deemed status. As an active Life Safety Surveyor for the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), Mr. Crowder maintains a thorough knowledge of the most current and updated code requirements through continual education and site surveys of numerous healthcare facilities in the United States. His expertise in translating operational requirements into optimal facility solutions and preparing facilities for upcoming deemed status surveys by accrediting agencies is vital to the successful operation of each consultation.

His resume of successful projects include new hospitals, surgery centers, medical office buildings, orthopaedic centers, outpatient surgery centers, ambulatory care facilities, retrofit of existing facilities and installation of various medical equipment and new technologies.

Courtney Leonis joined the Progressive team in 2010. As director of operations, she handles team coordination, strategic planning, project management, service proposals, marketing, website management, eSupport memberships and content, as well as planning and facilitating internal events and the annual ASC Nurse Leadership Conference. Prior to joining Progressive Surgical Solutions, Courtney spent 7 years doing motivational speaking, retreat organization and facilitation, and personal mentoring for youth.

As a licensed Insights Discovery™ practitioner, Courtney has guided teams through the 4 color energy model to better understand themselves and each other. She sees the big picture, beyond known and accepted possibilities and uses her natural intuition and remarkable insight to draw ideas out of others. Her enthusiasm and dynamic communication skills enable her to effectively engage and lead groups of people. Her industry experience spans from non-profit ecclesial organizations to health care consulting teams, and outpatient surgery centers.

Lyn Crisologo is an operations specialist, assisting with team coordination, contracts, marketing, website design and management, eSupport membership, webinars, reports, customer support, and continuing education.

Prior to joining Progressive in 2018, Ms. Crisologo spent more than 30 years in various business administrative and technical roles, including working at three orthopedic medical practices. Her other past positions include contract medical transcriptionist, medical credentialing specialist, customer service specialist, information systems specialist, administrative assistant, office manager assistant, accounts payable manager, mortgage loan processor, and workers’ compensation coordinator. Ms. Crisologo is excited to contribute her skills and experience to BSM. Ms. Crisologo earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in applied mathematics from the University of California, San Diego.

As an operations specialist and Project Management Professional (PMP), Jenna White oversees the PSS monthly webinar program, contributes to the planning, promotion, and facilitation of the annual ASC Nurse Leadership Conference, and engages in various projects supporting PSS product offerings and initiatives.

Bringing a diverse background and skill set, Jenna previously served in multiple roles as a Project Manager at Dell Inc. for six years. Transitioning her career to public health and nutrition, she earned her MPH from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017 and earned her certification as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, where she dedicated her efforts to optimizing the nutritional status of patients undergoing cancer treatment.
