Sterilization Best Practices in the ASC

Effective reprocessing of medical devices including instruments in the surgery setting is a key factor in prevention of transmission of infections. Over the course of the past several years, outbreaks of infections including the deadly “superbugs” as a result of inappropriate high-level disinfection of duodenoscopes has increased the requirements for following nationally recognized guidelines and standards as well as accountability for processes.

This webinar provides in-depth guidance for reprocessing medical devices, including high-level disinfection and sterilization. The presenter will highlight the importance of following manufacturer’s instructions and nationally recognized guidelines and standards.
