A Comprehensive Review of the ASC QAPI Program
Disclaimer: In 2024, AAAHC released the v43 Accreditation Standards. Prior to this, under the v42 Standards, facilities were required to conduct a 10-step QI study template. Under the v43, these steps have been consolidated into six (6) steps. Therefore, webinars presented prior to implementation of this update will discuss the 10-step QI study template.
A Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program is a proactive, data-driven approach to improve quality and enhance patient outcomes. This webinar reviews the requirements of an effective, comprehensive and robust QAPI program including program specifics, ongoing monitoring, measured indicators, benchmarking, QI studies, Hazard Vulnerability Assessment (HVA), risk assessments, and an annual review process. It will also provide practical tips and tools for implementing, documenting, and reporting QAPI activities in Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs).
